Privacy Policy

Your data stays yours.

Effective May 5, 2026  ·  Last updated September 21, 2026

Plain English. No legal games. No data sales. Ever.

1. Introduction

Platinumaire LLC (“we,” “our,” or “us”) built Managed Pain Care (MPC) to help chronic pain patients track their pain patterns, medications, and daily factors so they can better understand and advocate for their own health.

We take your privacy seriously. This policy explains exactly what data the app collects, how it is used, and your rights. Plain English, no legal games.

The short version: your health data stays on your phone. We do not have a server that holds it, which means there is nothing on our side to leak, subpoena, or sell.

2. Data We Collect

2.1 Data You Provide

When you use MPC, you may provide:

2.2 Data Captured Alongside Your Logs

When you log an entry, the app records the conditions at that moment so they can be shown next to your pain:

Weather is retrieved using your ZIP code — not your device’s GPS position. MPC does not request or use precise location permissions.

2.3 Data We Do NOT Collect

What the app never does.

This section is about the app. Our public website is a separate thing and does use basic visitor analytics — we describe exactly what, and how to opt out, in section 9.

3. Menstrual Cycle Data

MPC includes optional menstrual cycle tracking. It is off by default and only records anything if you turn it on in Settings.

Cycle data is treated as the most sensitive data in the app.

What is recorded, if you enable it: the dates you mark as the start and end of a period, an optional flow level, and any symptoms you log using the app’s existing symptom presets. From those dates the app calculates your cycle day and phase on your device. Nothing is sent anywhere.

MPC is not a fertility app. It does not predict ovulation for family planning, and it should not be relied on for contraception or conception.

4. How We Store Your Data

All of your personal health data is stored locally on your device using an encrypted database. We do not transmit your pain logs, medications, journal entries, cycle data, or any other health data to our servers.

Weather and environmental data is fetched from third-party APIs at the time of each log entry. Only the resulting data point is stored on your device. Your health data is never sent to those services — they receive a ZIP code and nothing else.

5. How We Use Your Data

Your data stays on your device and is used only to:

MPC shows you your own patterns. It does not diagnose, and it does not predict what your pain will do.

We do not use your data to train AI models, sell it to third parties, or for any purpose other than the features described above.

6. Data You Choose to Share

MPC lets you generate reports of your health data. Sharing these is entirely your choice. When you use the Share with Doctor or export features, you control where that information goes. We do not send these reports anywhere automatically, and we never receive a copy.

7. Your Rights

You have the right to:

Step-by-step deletion instructions are on our Data Deletion page. Because your data lives on your device, deletion is immediate and does not require contacting us.

8. Third-Party Services — In the App

ServiceWhat it does
Amazon Web Services (Cognito)Stores your email address so you can sign in. No health data is sent. Your account is permanently deleted when you use Delete all data.
OpenWeatherFetches weather and air quality data. Your ZIP code is sent to retrieve local conditions. No health data is sent.
NIH RxNorm APIUsed to look up medication information. No personal data is sent.
OpenFDAUsed to retrieve medication warnings. No personal data is sent.

9. This Website

Everything above describes the app. This website, managedpaincare.com, is separate — and we want to be straight with you about it, because “we don’t track you” would not be an honest thing to say about a website that does.

We use Google Analytics on this website.

It tells us how many people visit, which pages they read, and roughly what part of the world they came from. We use it to decide what to write next — nothing more. We have IP anonymization turned on, so Google receives a truncated version of your IP address rather than the full one.

ServiceWhat it does
Google AnalyticsWebsite visitor statistics only. Sets cookies in your browser. Never sees anything from the app — your pain logs, medications, journal, and cycle data are not on this website and never reach Google.

How to opt out. You can install Google’s Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on, turn on “Do Not Track” or blocking in your browser, or use any standard content blocker. The website works exactly the same either way, and nothing is withheld from you for opting out.

The app itself contains no analytics, no advertising SDK, and no tracking of any kind.

10. Children’s Privacy

MPC is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.

11. Security

Your data is stored using Android’s encrypted Room database, following Android security best practices for local storage. Because your data does not leave your device under normal use, the main security layer is your device’s own lock screen and encryption. Keeping a screen lock on your phone is the single most useful thing you can do to protect it.

12. Changes to This Policy

If we make material changes to this privacy policy, we will notify you through the app before the changes take effect. The Last Updated date at the top of this policy reflects the most recent revision.
