1. Where your data lives
Managed Pain Care is a local-only app. Everything you log — pain levels, medications, journal entries, cycle data, profile information — is stored on your device. We do not operate a backend, server, or cloud database for your health data. The only thing held on our side is your sign-in account (your email address), and the app deletes that for you too.
You don’t need to email us, fill out a form, or wait for a response. Deletion happens entirely on your device, instantly, under your control.
2. How to delete all your data
To wipe every piece of personal data Managed Pain Care has stored on your device:
- Open Managed Pain Care on your device
- Tap the Profile tab at the bottom of the screen
- Tap Settings
- Scroll to the Danger Zone section at the bottom
- Tap Delete all data
- Confirm twice — this action cannot be undone
If you are signed in, your phone needs an internet connection for this step, because your sign-in account is deleted first. If it can’t be reached, nothing is deleted and you can simply try again once you’re connected.
Once you confirm the second time, all your logs, medications, journal entries, cycle data, and profile information are wiped immediately. There is no recovery, no backup, no “undo.” The app returns to its first-launch state, identical to a fresh install.
3. What gets deleted
The Delete all data action permanently deletes:
- Your sign-in account and the email address attached to it
- All profile information you entered
- All pain logs and pain history
- All medication records (names, dosages, schedules, prescriber notes)
- All journal entries and mood tags
- All activity logs and notes
- All menstrual cycle data, if you had cycle tracking turned on
- All saved preferences (visual style, haptic feedback, message tone, notification settings)
- All weather and lunar data captured alongside your logs
4. What is kept
One thing is preserved after Delete all data: the app’s medication reference catalog. This is a public list of drug names sourced from RxNorm, maintained by the US National Library of Medicine.
The reference catalog contains no personal information about you — it is the same drug name list every user sees. It stays on your device so the app doesn’t need to re-download it the next time you set up a profile. If you uninstall the app, the catalog is removed along with it.
5. Alternative: uninstall the app
If you prefer, you can uninstall Managed Pain Care through your phone’s system settings:
Android: Settings → Apps → Managed Pain Care → Uninstall
Uninstalling removes all app data, including the reference catalog, from your device. It does not delete your sign-in account. To remove that as well, use Delete all data (section 2) before you uninstall, or email us (section 6).
6. Account deletion
Your Managed Pain Care sign-in account holds only your email address — none of your health data. Delete all data (section 2) deletes the account permanently, right from the app.
If you have already uninstalled the app, or can’t get into it, email privacy@managedpaincare.com from the address you signed up with and we will delete your account for you.
7. This website
Separately from the app, this website uses Google Analytics for basic visitor statistics. That is explained in full, including how to opt out, in section 9 of our Privacy Policy. It has no connection to your app data.
